Hi guys! How are you?
I hope you have enjoyed doing the task about your favourite pop star. It was fantastic to see your great performances. You are authentic artists!
This week we will keep on working body language. Here you have a video with an easy explanation about what body language is.
Afterwards, I suggest to you the following activity: find a big mirror in your house and explore your face and body possibilities by doing different positions, movements and expressions in front the mirror. You will become surprised about yourself!
You don't need to send me anything in this occasion, only ENJOY AND HAVE FUN!
WEEK 9: FROM 11th TO 15th OF MAY
During this week you will become your favourite pop star.
So you might find the proper clothes, the objects you need to simulate the musical instruments he or she plays and anything that could be related with his or her performances.
You can turn on one of his or her songs while you are acting and singing. Record yourself if you want and send me your video please: jaralesef@gmail.com

Today we start a new unit about BODY LANGUAGE
Body language refers to the nonverbal signals that we use to communicate. According to experts, these nonverbal signals make up a huge part of daily communication. From our facial expressions to our body movements, the things we don't say can still convey volumes of information.
Here you have some pictures with examples of how do people express their emotions through their bodies and faces. This is BODY LANGUAGE.

Now we are back and during this week we will continue with our martial arts unit.
For today I have posted some information about Capoeira and two videos for you to practice.
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines dance, music, acrobatics and body language. It was probably developed in Brazil by African descendants with indigenous influences at the beginning of the sixteenth century. It is practiced with traditional berimbau music.

After capoeira, today we are learning something about TAEBO.
Tae Bo is a total body fitness system that incorporates martial arts techniques
such as kicks and punches, which became quite popular in the 1990s.
It was developed by American Taekwondo practitioner Billy Blanks.
Such programs use the motions of martial arts at a rapid pace designed to promote fitness.
Billy Blanks developed the routine in 1976 by combining dance with elements
from his martial arts and boxing training to form a workout regimen.
Tae Bo classes are taught worldwide. Tae Bo includes many of the same
punches and kicks as Karate, but is not intended for fighting
— it was not meant for any combat or self-defense applications.
